Ever since it was released in 1992 on the SNES, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has been revered as the best RPG title on the SNES. It has even been compared to the RPGs on 32-Bit systems! The evil wizard Agahnim has seized control of Hyrule and it is your job to defeat Agahnim and save Hyrule from his tyranny. But a hidden force, is behind Agahnim black magic, a force so sinister it threatens to destroy Hyrule from the vast reaches of the Dark World. Answer Zelda's call and get your sword and shield and prepare for your most perilous adventure yet!

You are in bed one night tossing and turning. A voice of a girl pleads for your help within your head. You then wake up to see your Uncle strapping on his Sword and Shield. He has heard the same message and is going to help the girl. You have been instructed to stay behind as your Uncle opens the door and disapears into the pouring rain. You ignore your Uncle and head off towards Hyrule castle. On your way you recieve another message instructing you of a secret passage into the Castle. There you find your Uncle who has been wounded and cannot continue. Grab your new Sword and Sheild and head into the mysteries and dangers that await you!

Meanwhile, an evil sorcerer has taken control of Hyrule. He has killed the King and possessed the Guards and knights of Hyrule. His name is Agahnim and he has a boss of which you might be familiar. Agahnim has captured six maidens and encased them in Crystals, and hidden them across the land. The Maidens are actually descendants of the Six Sages. Agahnim learns that Zelda as well is a descendant of a Sage. He then has Zelda locked up in the Castle dungeon. As Agahnim's guards are dragging Zelda off she sends a telepathic message into the night.
